Put your foot down, I’ll be the roadkill 6 foot deep but I won’t keep still I run so hard I forget how to wait You run for the hills and forget to take a brake, that’s right You jump, I fall onto my face We both go forth in opposite ways – well not this time, not this time I’ll wait for the gun with an open mouth Watch your fingers forget how to count I sleep so hard I forget how to fight but I live so hard I forget how to die, yeah that’s right I’m lost, you’re found every day. You see god and I lose count in every way – well not this time, not this time You jump, I fall onto my face. I walk in and you walk out every day – well not this time, not this time

Owls 02:23
I know. Dark woods, hard ground I walked this way. I hoped the moon would come down and clean the slate. I told myself to get lost (uh-oh) so I could get back on course (uh-oh) Woah What have you done that’s sooooooo good? I know it was the one, the key. The things that I lose the most are those I really need. I threw my whole self into the hole. The air was getting thin but at least someone was escaping. Woah What have you done that’s soooooooo good? Yeah, stay in you tree watch from afar and wait for the fall cuz yeah, you know it all. Yeah stay up all night cuz you don’t wanna come down. What’s wrong with being wrong sometimes? Woah What have you done that’s soooooooooo good?

Tusks 02:56
Got sharp, sharp teeth but I’ve got no reason to bite. Got a heart-shaped box but there’s nothing inside. Got muscle, bone but i’ve got no reason to grow Like a house on fire, no reason to run. The catch is never as good anyway. I’ve got time to kill but not to waste. Come down and help me understand it. I see the moons but not the planets. Come fill me in, I’m losing blood and all this thick skin has only made me numb. I’m in a hot room packed with the feel of a dog whistle. Time to change the battery in the alarm. And then I see them loving the chase: Gazelles alive in running away. You’re the bullet from an elephant gun, you’re the reason to run. You’re the split in the sky and I’m ready to learn. Come down and help me understand it. I see the moons but not the planets. Come fill me in, I’m losing blood and all this thick skin has only made me numb. Come down and help me understand it. I’ve built a world with nothing inside it. Come take these bones and let me break down into the ground where I can feel it all.

Friday night, another week down and still I can’t get to sleep. Another year, another fire drowned and still I can’t get to sleep. When the silence comes no words, no lies I’ll be damned if I can get to sleep tonight. I’ve blanketed the daylight noise and still I can’t get to sleep. I’ve taped up my ears and eyes and still I can’t get to sleep. When the silence comes in the shape of night I’ll be damned if I can get to sleep in the blue light, blue light I’ve shut the windows, locked the doors and still I hear it in the trees. I’ve shut it down and switched it all off and now I smell smoke. When the silence comes, singing its last song I’ll be damned if I can get to sleep in the blue light, blue light You know there’s a door always open it starts with a crack you can’t put your finger on it but you know it’ll fill your room with that blue, blue light.

Slurry 02:06
Slurry in your face on your plate did you see it come? Slurry of space pulverised stars tearing you apart Don’t look now. Woo. It’s like getting mugged with your feet in the television (don’t look now) Change spinning round in the washing machine (slurry) Woo. Don’t look now
6.
No need to take notes No need to give it thought No need to make it add up No need to fix it No need to work it out No need to let it get to you cuz when you feel something when you feel something you just know it’ll all be over soon it’ll all be over soon No need to get lost pretending you’re still here cuz no-one’s looking anyway No need to set it off no need to cause alarm cuz no-one’s listening anyway cuz when you feel something when you feel something you just know it’ll all be over soon it’ll all be over soon it’ll all be over soon it’ll all be over soon but then I feel something I feel something Don’t you feel something? I feel something Ah no I feel something Don’t you feel that something. I feel something Ah no I feel something Don’t you feel that something? I feel something I feel something Don’t feel that something cuz it’ll all be over –
